Dual-Layer Damped Sound Barrier – SBR with Gypsum Surface
SBR is derived from recycled ELT (end-of-life-tyres), from which resulting ground pellets are bound together into sheets by polyurethanes. The elastic properties of rubber provide a degree of acoustic damping which improves sound barrier performance at low frequencies, this being an area where the performance of gypsum is weak.
Applications:
Soundproofing of vertical partitions and ceilings.
