Classic 1950s curves and an old-school volume knob on the outside. Powerful 3″ full-range driver and 0.8″ tweeter on the inside. You’ll enjoy rich, warm sound and vocals that sing, while twin passive radiators and our Bass+ technology keep the bass deep and tight at any volume.
Bluetooth® multipoint connectivity and USB audio
Bluetooth® 6.0 lets you stream without annoying dips in the sound, and you can connect The Janet XL to two devices at once. You can also plug an external device into its USB-C port and listen to music that way.
Internet radio, on-demand podcasts, FM/DAB+ digital tuner
Radio or podcasts? The Janet XL does both. You can set 30 presets for DAB+ or FM radio stations, save your favourite Internet radio stations or choose from a host of podcasts available on demand. A telescopic aerial ensures crystal-clear reception for DAB+/FM radio.
Auracast™ for multi-speaker setups
If you’re hosting a party or you just want even bigger sound, you can use Auracast™ to broadcast music from The Janet XL to as many compatible speakers as you like. Setup is simple via the PartyLink mode in our companion app.
Retro charm, IPX5 water-resistant design
Kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, dining table. With an IPX-5 water-resistant design, The Janet XL isn’t fussy about where you place it. Steam from the shower, splashes in the kitchen, spills on the table: it’ll keep on playing.
Kitchen timer and sleep timer
There’s a handy kitchen timer to keep your cooking on point, and if you like falling asleep to the sound of the radio, you can use the sleep timer to control how long the radio plays for as you drift off.
Easily replaceable built-in rechargeable battery
The Janet XL comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that’s easily replaceable when it reaches the end of its life. You get approx. 18 hours of play time from a full charge, and a full recharge takes around 2.5 hours via USB-C.
Modern colourful display with adjustable brightness
Up-to-date design touches include a clear TFT display that can show DAB+ or Internet radio station icons in full colour, plus artist and song information. A digital clock shows the time, and you can adjust the display’s brightness to suit the room.
Philips Entertainment app. Smart control for The Janet XL
You can use our companion app to select a sound style, control Bass+, update software and more. There’s a handy virtual remote control, and the in-app PartyLink mode makes it simple to connect to other speakers via Auracast™.
