The most immersive Bose soundbar. For all your content.

For a soundbar to come closer to creating a cinematic experience, it has to do more than just point sound in different directions. The Bose Smart Soundbar 900 with Dolby Atmos® goes well beyond that, adding a layer of realism that no other soundbar can duplicate. Exclusive Bose technologies elevate all content by separating instruments, dialogue, and effects, placing them in discrete parts of a room—far left, far right, overhead—for immersion like you’ve never felt before.

IMMERSIVE SOUND EXPERIENCE

Tons of tech, beautifully wrapped.

For all its stunning looks, the technology inside this premium Dolby Atmos® soundbar is what’s truly astonishing. Nine speakers are precisely arranged in the cabinet—including two new upward-firing dipole transducers. This works in tandem with proprietary PhaseGuide technology to beam multi-directional sound to distinct areas in your room, giving you the feeling that what you hear is coming from places where there are no physical speakers.

SUPPORTS DOLBY ATMOS®

Cinematic sound. At home.

What exactly is Dolby Atmos®? It’s a technology that allows artists and content creators to place each voice, instrument, and sound in its own space, creating an unparalleled spatial experience with realistic overhead effects. You’re in the middle of it all, right in your living room, enjoying the peak of home entertainment.

When there’s no Dolby Atmos content, like stereo or 5.1, Bose TrueSpace™ technology takes over for the vertical experience, remixing signals to add “height” without adding a ceiling speaker, creating the same immersive sound experience.

GOOGLE ASSISTANT

Hands-free help at home

With Google Assistant, you can control all of your entertainment, manage your day and get information just by using your voice. The noise-rejecting microphones work together to listen in every direction for your command, so it hears you even when your music is playing loudly.

WORKS WITH BOSE SMART SPEAKERS

More music. In more rooms.

As you’d expect, you can wirelessly stream all of your favourite music services thanks to Wi-Fi®, Bluetooth®, Chromecast built-in, Apple AirPlay 2, and Spotify Connect compatibility. If it’s available on your mobile devices, you can hear it through the Bose Smart Soundbar 900. What’s more, since your smart soundbar can be grouped with any other Bose smart speakers over Wi-Fi, the Chromecast built-in feature can be shared across Bose products for a seamless audio experience throughout your home.

Want to kick it up a notch? Add more.

Bass Module 700

Sound you can feel.

Love your new Bose soundbar but want to kick the performance up a notch? Add the Bose Bass Module 700 — it’s the difference between hearing bass and feeling thunder. And it’s the best wireless bass module we’ve ever designed for any of our home theater systems. In fact, it’s the best performance you can get for a subwoofer this size. It connects wirelessly to your soundbar and adds even more depth and impact to everything from explosive movie effects to house-rocking playlists.

Beautiful inside and out.

With its premium glass-top finish, the Bose Bass Module 700 offers a sophisticated look you won’t find in typical subwoofers or home theater equipment. Of course, this isn’t typical equipment. This subwoofer delivers a dynamic range of bass from a powerful driver and generously sized port with QuietPort technology that virtually eliminates distortion. So go ahead, turn it up your jam, and feel that rhythm move through the house.

OUR MOST PREMIUM SURROUND SOUND

Don’t just hear your entertainment. Experience it. Car races, T-Rex steps, explosions — you want to be in the middle of all the action and savor every moment. The Bose Surround Speakers 700 delivers our most premium surround sound, while a refined exterior matches the overall aesthetic of our newest soundbars. That way they not only enhance your audio experience, they also complement your room’s décor and create one beautiful, cohesive system.

Simple setup

Two wireless receivers accompany the surround speakers to facilitate a wireless connection to your soundbar. All you have to do is plug your adapters into a power source and wirelessly connect the surround speakers to your soundbar for instant entertainment. Less wires. More compliments. It’s that simple.

FAQS

The simplest way to connect the Soundbar is via the supplied HDMI cable to your TV. If your TV has an HDMI-eARC connection, you should use that connection to get the benefit from Dolby Atmos encoded content. If your TV does not have an HDMI connection, then you should connect the Soundbar to the TV using the optical cable (also supplied with the Soundbar).

No. All sources must be connected to the TV and then a single connection (via the HDMI or optical cable) must be made from the TV to the soundbar.

Press the Bluetooth source button on the remote control. The light bar on the soundbar pulses blue. Ensure your mobile device is in pairing mode and select the Bose Smart Soundbar 900 from the list. You also can pair your mobile device to the soundbar using the Bose Music app.

Your Bose smart soundbar will sound great in almost any environment. But to get the best possible performance, be sure you do not put it in an enclosed/recessed cabinet or cover the side or upward-firing transducers.

Yes. You can group any of our smart speakers and soundbars together for multi-room listening using the Bose Music app. This way, you can fill your whole home with music — either synchronized or different music in different rooms.

Yes. The Bose Soundbar Wall Bracket (sold separately) lets you mount the soundbar to the wall.

ADAPTiQ is part of the overall setup process and is driven through the Bose Music app. You will be prompted to run ADAPTiQ after you download the Bose Music app and start the setup process. If you skip running ADAPTiQ during the initial setup process — or change your room significantly or add bass module(s) or surround speakers after initially running ADAPTiQ — you can go back into the app and do it again. Initiate ADAPTiQ and follow the prompts in the app.

Yes. It can be controlled by third-party remote controls that include the set of Bose commands.

No. However, using SimpleSync™ technology you can wirelessly connect our most popular Bose headphones with the soundbar using a Bluetooth connection. This connection can be set up through the Bose Music app. For the full list of compatible headphones, see the Using groups article on our Support site.

Yes. The Bose Soundbar 900 uses presets via the Bose Music app and the remote control.

Yes. Bass can be controlled in the Bose Music app.

Yes. The Bose Smart Soundbar 900 and the Bose Bass Modules all use the same wireless protocols and can be mixed and matched. However, the design language and materials of the Smart Soundbar 900 and the Bass Module 700 are designed to complement each other. When connecting two bass modules to the Smart Soundbar 900, they must be of the same type.

Yes. The Bose Surround Speakers 700 connect wirelessly to the Bose Smart Soundbar 900, Bose Smart Soundbar 300, Bose Smart Soundbar 700, the Bose Soundbar 500, and SoundTouch 300 soundbar — so no wires are required from the front of the room to the rear. But the Bose Surround Speakers 700 do require electrical power to power the wireless receivers and there is a speaker wire connecting the wireless receivers to the speaker itself.

The Bose Surround Speakers 700 are intended for use in the same room as the Bose Smart Soundbar 900, Bose Smart Soundbar 300, Bose Smart Soundbar 700, Bose Soundbar 500, or the SoundTouch 300 soundbar and have a range of about 30 ft.

We recommend placing the speakers behind the main listening area — one on the left side and one on the right of the room — for optimum sound quality.

Yes. If for some reason a wired connection is preferred, the Bose Bass Module 700 can be hardwired together using the Bose Bass Module Connection Cable.

For best sound quality, the Bose Bass Module 700 should be placed on the floor against the same wall as the television and soundbar, with an electrical outlet nearby for the power cord. The bass module should not be placed on a shelf or table. For more bass, the bass module should be placed closer to walls and corners. For less bass, the bass module should be pulled away from walls and corners.
